Preserve ID Memory with PICKit3
« on: May 29, 2018, 04:12:58 PM »
Hello,

I am using PICKit3 to program a PIC18F25K22.If the ID memory is empty (0xFF all the way), a sequence is initiated to write the device ID.Every time i program the device, ID memory is erased, even though the Preserve ID Memory checkbox is checked.Preserving EEPROM works, but preserving ID memory does not work.I have yet to try Preserving Program Memory, and putting the ID Location address range in there, but I think that the Preserve ID Memory option should do this.Is the PICKit 3 incapable of doing this?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
