I just want to clarify how the sizing works. If it means that the stitches per in is the aida cloth (i.e. 14) and then the size represents the size of the finished piece (i.e. 9.1 x 16.5)

lammert

With 14 count AIDA (14 stitches per inch) and a size of 9.1 x 16.5 inch, the pattern will have a size of  127 by 231 stitches.

But the final size of it would be basically 9 inches by 16.5 inches. So when I cut my Aida I I should cut it about 12inches by 20 inches to have some room on the sides when I frame it, correct?

lammert

For framing my recommendation is 2 inches on each side. 11 by 21 inches for the fabric would be a good size.

Created a Pattern Size 7.8 Inches X 12 Inches 14Count
But When I tape The Pages together The Pattern is about 16 X 12 1/2
What Did I do wrong?
Thanks!

lammert

You did nothing wrong. The mentioned size is the size of an embroidery work made with the pattern, not the size of the pattern itself.

What are you using the pattern for? Do you need a specific size of the pattern itself, for example for diamond painting?

Hi!!
Thank You!!
So it will be the size I created it for and not the larger?
12 inches High Not 16?
Was confused as to what size of aida to buy
So, it won't turn out larger?
Thanks!

Hi Modesta Again!!
Still A Little Confused Here!! ??
So I counted The Blocks In The Pattern I taped Together
It's 162  X  107
Is This Correct For The Pattern Image I selected to be  7.8 Inches  X  12.00 Inches?
AND, There Is a Symbol On The Chart----Not in the DMC List?
Can You Help With These Questions!!
Much Appreciated---I Realize there is a time difference.
I'm In Canada
Thank You!!
